Hello dear readers,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. It’s been a while since I last shared my thoughts and experiences with you, and for that, I must extend my most sincere apologies. You deserve an explanation, so let me take this opportunity to share the amazing whirlwind of life changes I’ve been through lately.

First and foremost, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve accepted a new job at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research! As many of you know, working at CERN has been a lifelong dream of mine. The opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in particle physics is an honor and a privilege. Of course, this fantastic opportunity has also come with its fair share of adjustments, including relocating to Geneva, Switzerland, and diving headfirst into the challenging and fast-paced world of high-energy physics.

I must admit, the transition has been both exciting and demanding. The new job has required my full attention and dedication, which, unfortunately, left me with limited time to update this blog as frequently as I used to. I assure you, though, that I haven’t forgotten about our little corner of the internet. I’ve been collecting experiences, stories, and insights that I’m eager to share with you all in the coming weeks.

In addition to my new job, my wife and I have been blessed with the arrival of our beautiful newborn daughter. As any parent will tell you, the birth of a child is a life-changing experience that brings immeasurable joy and a whole new set of responsibilities. Our days and nights have been consumed by diaper changes, feedings, and the pure delight of watching our little one grow and develop.

Although I’ve been overwhelmed by the love and happiness our daughter has brought into our lives, the demands of fatherhood have further contributed to my absence from the blog. As we settle into our new family dynamic, I hope to find a balance between work, fatherhood, and my passion for sharing my thoughts and experiences with all of you.

Once again, I apologize for the lack of updates and appreciate your understanding during this transformative period in my life. I am truly grateful for your ongoing support and patience. Please stay tuned for more frequent updates, as I have many stories and insights to share from both my professional journey at CERN and my new adventures in parenthood.

Wishing you all the very best, and looking forward to reconnecting with you soon.

Warm regards,

Luis Miguens
